This can cover is part of ‘The Explore Collection’, three patterns which have been designed to complement one another as a set or to shine as stand-alone pieces. Therefore they have been made available to purchase as single patterns to allow the opportunity to mix and match to suit your needs.
The other two patterns in this collection are the Pebble Can Cover and the Little Stones Can Cover.
Recently, my patterns have been inspired by nature and the sea. It is no secret that I love the peace and tranquility that walking along a deserted beach provides.
Walking along, nothing is identical, whether it is the sand dunes, driftwood, stones, shells or the puddles leftover by a receding tide.
I originally made a can cover as a child in a girl group called the ‘Brownies’. We wrapped and stuck a strip of fabric around cans and used them as storage containers for pencils. Mine has stood the test of time and I am still using it today!
The Boardwalk Can Cover is the second design in ‘The Explore Collection’. It reminds me of a boardwalk that I have walked down many times on holidays in Wales, United Kingdom. It was found at the end of a quiet country lane and was the only way down to the beach. The lines represent the little gaps between the planks of wood.
